We have been here twice and both times my kiddos had fun. The place has a variety of colors to choose from. They have a nice selection for ceramics. My only qualm would be the brushes. The brushes and sponges are getting old. We made do with ours but for detailed items there’s no good brush to choose from. Other than that, the stuff was friendly and showed you how to set it up. You do have to ask for the small bottle with the fine needle to write or do details.

We went to color me mine and it was fun to paint for a while. However it was way too expensive. The pieces were over priced that you picked from and by the time we left after only 1.5 hours it cost us $ 130. Can’t afford to go back

Went there with my kids 1 yr old & 2.5 yr old (at the time) to make a Fathers Day present for my husband. I have to tell you, it was so much fun. The guy at the front desk was super nice. He explained to me every step of our project. It was $ 7/person. He only charged me for one person since my kids were so small & of course I paid for the plate which was $ 45. We used all the colors we liked & I placed my children’s hand on the plate to get a hand print of them. My kids were very involved & loved the time we spent there together. Ended up making a big BBQ plate for my husband who loves BBQing on the wknds or whenever with friends. Once we were done painting, the plate had to get glazed in the special oven. That process takes 7 days but you can pay extra to rush it if you prefer that. We weren’t in the rush so it worked out perfectly. We all went to pick up our ‘masterpiece’ with my husband & kids one week later & he absolutely loved it. He was so impressed & kept thanking us. He uses the BBQ plate all the time. Love this place.

A couple of days ago I went to pick up my the project I made here and it was an amazing experience. It’s a great place to do art, chit chat with friends, and relax. The service there was astounding. Even though it is a tad expensive but it’s a worth wild experience.

Went in on a Tuesday night only ones there for almost an hour), purchased a mug for our son to paint, paid the $ 8.00 «studio» fee but not once did the young lady working there offer any type of assistance or suggestions to our six year old. Not once did she offer to get us some towels, not once did she offer to change our dipping water, but a tip jar and a receipt for a tip was presented to us? The owners need to spend some time and expand on customer service with their employees. Will not go there again.

Went there with my friends two young children 9 and 7 year old. Had a blast with them, but the place is completely out of line with their prices, the poor girl in high school that works there does not have a clue. She actually told me I couldn’t pay with a old hundred dollar bill, that it has to be a new one, store policy… TO BAD! I told her I was paying with that and that I would love to speak to the owner, after a few minutes she came back with my change. This is America, money is money. Pretty darn funny!

The store is nice and organized. All materials paints etc are available. Store owner /manager is not customer friendly however. She claimed she was «too busy» to help with an issue but proceeded to do nothing other than sit there and do nothing for the next five minutes. If poor customer service is. It a problem this store will work for you.

I really enjoyed my first visit they had a girl who explained herself very well and she seemed nice to bad I didn’t catch her name she had brown hair very friendly the other lady on the other hand blond hair little on the short side not so much she was ok to deal with but I would have preferred the other girl to help us out. Her voice was as if she was speaking at you and with such a loud tone as small as that place is their wasn’t much need for her to shout. But in any case I really had a good time the prices are pretty high but fair we stayed till the kids were done they really loved it next time I think I will just watch them and let then enjoy it

I love this place. It can get busy but it’s always so much fun. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. I adore this place so much. We’re trying to make this a monthly family outing.

My daughter celebrated her 7th birthday party here last week and had a good time with 18 friends/family members. It started out fine, with Paul having set up the party table for us outside and making sure we had what we needed. Unfortunately, he left, and there were 2 young ladies «assigned» to help us with the party. They were pleasant enough, but seemed like they needed a lot of direction, and as far as I could tell there was no manager around — as other reviewers had mentioned. I was very disappointed that they never once came outside to the patio/party area to see how things were going, since they were busy inside helping other customers. Luckily, i had some awesome moms there helping to serve our party of 18. After dinner, I went inside to ask them if they could bring the cake out. After 5 minutes of waiting, I went back in to ask again. They made up some excuse about thinking I was going to come in and put the candles on??? I asked them if they are supposed to be outside helping and one girl said I should have come to get them (?) and the other said they aren’t allowed to serve. They were as confused as I was as to their role in the party. =(I picked up the pottery pieces yesterday and everything looks good, but again I was confused/disappointed when I asked if I could get help carrying this big box of pottery pieces to my car The girl said she couldn’t leave the shop, because she was the only one there. I’ve been to this color me mine before and it is fine for painting, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a party unless you are bringing your own help. The customer service is barely satisfactory.

My daughter had her 8-year birthday party at Color Me Mine this past Sunday, where she and her 10 friends had a blast! The staff was friendly, attentive and made my daughter’s birthday experience special. Paul was in charge of the party and I must say… he had so much patience, especially given the 11 excited 8 year old girls on a sugar-high.
If you’re planning on having a birthday party at Color Me Mine in Torrance make sure to plan ahead and make a reservation, since the weekend timeframe can fill up quickly. We had our party at 2 pm, so it pretty much emptied out by then, which was nice.
As a birthday memorabilia, Color Me Mine had the birthday girl imprint her painted hand onto a plate, and then everyone in attendance signed their name around her hand print — this was nice idea and everyone loved it.

Been here several times and all times have been wonderful.
The staff is very attentive and frequently checking up on you.
Although they don’t have a wide selection to choose from and it is a little pricey.
I still enjoy a trip here and doing some nice relaxing art work.
Fully recommend it to anyone who loves painting or would like to do something different with a friend or even a significant other!

My daughters are involved with after school programs, and Color Me Mine frequently has staff attend their school for just such special programs. Candice has lead my girls through several projects, she is great with kids and also works at the store.
In any event, the physical location at 2627 PCH is great. Yes, it’s expensive, but the kids love it, and the end result is worth the money. My kids have made many gifts from the heart at Color Me Mine, and they have always been a hit with the recipient.
I’ve always found the staff to be great with kids, and very helpful. The weekends can get busy, you can call in advance to reserve space, which is suggested. I frequently drink out of my special coffee mug and feel the special love that Color Me Mine helped create.

For our 3-year anniversary, my boyfriend brought us here. I enjoy painting but I haven’t done ceramics since high school (5 years ago). Wow, it is expensive.
There were so many types of ceramics to choose from. Normal people would just buy a pre-made ceramic and just paint it.
But no, not us two. My boyfriend chose a plate and I chose a mini-cup. We decided to be artists that day for some odd reason, not knowing it was going to take close to 34 hours with all the details. He drew and painted «Up» on his plate and I had «Walle and Eva» on one side of my cup and «Up» on the other side. So the first step for us was to draw lightly with pencil, paint (3 coats maximum recommended), then leave it there for a week for them to glaze and coat it. It turned out beautiful, but that was a crap load of work.
$ 15/person + ceramic = $$$
Luckily, my cheap-o side asked for any type of discounts and the person gave us one. Man, was I super happy.
Overall, its a great way to tap into your creative side if you have the money. The service is amazing; they’re always asking if you need anything. Great for children.

I went on a rainy day with my 7 year old and one of the staff members Kayla was very unpleasant as soon as we walked in. When already directed to sit with another family painting which was no problem she refused to give us our own bowl for the paint brushes and when I was rude back she finally decided to search for another bowl which they clearly had considering most tables were empty. We were also not informed on the process fee, the painting procedure, or how long it would take. Not a fun experience especially not worth the price. We will not return to this location.

Took the kiddos (ages 3 and 8) and they had an absolute blast. It was a rainy Saturday and we were dying to break out of the house — ended up here and it was a great way to burn a couple of hours.
The guy working was super friendly and seemed to really enjoy his job. He gave us the overview and then we searched through literally 100’s of options before deciding to paint a ceramic mug and a skateboard. Tons of colors to choose from too, and lots of accessories — rubber stamps, stencils, etc.
The ceramics are a bit pricey $ 15 and up to $ 50+ and it’s $ 7 per kid just to paint as well. I still got out of there for under $ 60, which is about what you’d pay for taking the family to a movie these days. The good news is we had a blast and actually left knowing we had some super cute keepsakes to boot :-)

I came in during the holidays with my three year old nephew. I painted his feet for a plate I was making. Not only was the service friendly and very explanatory, but I was also helped out holding the nephew down while I painted his footsies. You can’t ask for much more in customer service. Prices are a little costly but worth the price for the service and all the detail that goes into getting the final product. I recommend this location.

My wife and kids come here regularly. Its a great time to relax and spend time with my family.
— We have always received excellent service from Paul and the other employees.
— The Torrance location always has full stock of paints, brushes, and other utilities.
— It may get pricey (depending on what item you choose).
— It can be very time consuming (depending on what item you choose).
Art produced my children are priceless.
